WHAT IS IT?
The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency, yet most people haven't had the chance to hear clearly what it could mean for our lives, our economy and our future.
In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought leading UK experts together to explain the evidence behind the climate and nature crisis to 1,200 decision makers in Westminster, covering what it means for our health, food, national security and economy.
Join us for a 50 minute film featuring highlights from the briefing. Presented by Chris Packham, it includes Deborah Meaden, Jennifer Saunders and voices from across the UK.
After the film, everyone is welcome to stay for an open audience discussion facilitated by Hannah Cox, founder of the Better Business Network, on what action could look like locally and in our businesses.
WHEN AND WHERE
Wednesday 18 November, 6pm to 8pm.
Kanaris Theatre, Manchester Museum, The University of Manchester, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PL.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Business owners, leaders, teams and anyone who wants to understand the climate and nature emergency and what we can do about it. You don't need to be a BBN member to come along.
This screening is part of a season of screenings across Greater Manchester in October and November. Find them all on the NEB screening map at nebriefing.org.
ABOUT THE BETTER BUSINESS NETWORK
The Better Business Network is a community of purpose led UK businesses who believe doing good and doing well aren't in competition. We connect members through regional events, an online platform and two flagship gatherings each year, giving businesses a place to find people and partners who care about the same things they do. Find out more at thebetterbusiness.network.
With thanks to Manchester Museum for hosting.
